Visit to Herbal Gardeny

"All that human beings need for health and healing has been provided by God in nature, the challenge of science is to find it.” With this profound thought in mind, the students of SRS Global School embarked on a fascinating educational journey to explore the rich world of plants and their healing properties. The visit to the Herbal Garden at CERT College Campus was an opportunity for the students to witness firsthand the incredible treasures that nature offers in the form of medicinal plants.

The Herbal Garden, a true sanctuary of nature's bounty, houses a diverse collection of plants known for their therapeutic benefits. Students had the chance to explore a wide variety of herbs, many of which are essential ingredients in traditional Ayurvedic medicine. From tulsi (holy basil) to neem, aloe vera, and peppermint, the students were introduced to the remarkable healing powers of these natural wonders.

Under the guidance of knowledgeable experts, the students learned about the different medicinal properties of each plant and how they have been used for centuries to promote health and well-being. They were shown how herbs can be utilized in the form of teas, tinctures, oils, and poultices for treating common ailments, boosting immunity, and enhancing overall health.

This visit not only enriched the students' knowledge about herbal medicine but also fostered an appreciation for the importance of preserving nature's healing resources. It served as a reminder of the deep connection between humans and the natural world, encouraging students to value the environment and its resources for both present and future generations.

The students' enthusiasm was evident as they eagerly asked questions and interacted with the plants, eager to understand more about their benefits and uses. The experience was educational and engaging, with many students expressing a newfound interest in the power of herbs and natural remedies.

The Herbal Garden visit was a perfect way to tie in the school’s commitment to holistic education, blending traditional knowledge with modern science. It allowed students to see how ancient wisdom, such as Ayurveda, continues to influence contemporary health practices. The trip was a valuable part of the school’s curriculum, promoting awareness of the importance of natural health and wellness.

Through this hands-on experience, students also learned about the significance of sustainable farming and the need to protect biodiversity. It was a reminder that nature holds the key to many solutions for a healthy and balanced life, and that science continues to explore these solutions to benefit humanity.
