Vasant Panchami
is the festival which marks the beginning of Spring season while also celebrating the
birth of Goddess of art, music and knowledge *"Maa Saraswati"*. The name originates from
the Sanskrit word Vasant, meaning "Spring"; and Panchami, meaning "Fifth day."
"Creativity is a wild mind and a disciplined eye"
The students of SRS Global school triggered their imagination and made beautiful Kites
showcasing their creative skills of paper folding with great enthusiasm and happy faces.
It was blissful sight to see their beautiful and colourful kites ready to take flight in
the sky on this auspicious occasion of Vasant Panchami.
The school organized a kite-making competition where students, with bright smiles and a sense of excitement, crafted their colorful and intricate kites. The activity encouraged them to explore their creativity through paper folding, cutting, and decorating. Each kite was a work of art, showcasing the imaginative skills of the young minds. The kites were adorned with bright, vibrant colors, intricate patterns, and sometimes, even personalized designs that reflected the individual personalities of the students.
As the students carefully worked on their kites, the school atmosphere was filled with an infectious energy. The sounds of laughter and joy echoed through the halls as students collaborated, shared ideas, and helped each other perfect their creations. It was a moment of bonding, as the entire school community came together to celebrate not just the arrival of spring, but the power of creativity and imagination.
The highlight of the celebration was the kite-flying event that took place later in the day. Students eagerly ran to the open field, each one holding their brightly colored kites, ready to send them soaring into the sky. The sight of the kites fluttering high in the air was nothing short of magical. The sky was filled with a riot of colors, each kite symbolizing the boundless imagination and creativity of the students. It was a blissful moment for both students and teachers, as the kites danced in the wind, a celebration of the free spirit of creativity.
To mark the spiritual aspect of the day, the school also conducted a small pooja for Maa Saraswati, where students and teachers offered flowers, sweets, and prayers for wisdom, knowledge, and artistic excellence. The school echoed with the chants of mantras, and the divine presence of Maa Saraswati filled the air, inspiring all to strive for intellectual and artistic growth. Throughout the day, there was a deep sense of gratitude for the blessings of Maa Saraswati, as students not only paid homage to the goddess but also expressed their love for creativity and knowledge in their own unique ways. It was a day of learning, fun, and immense joy, reminding everyone of the importance of fostering creativity and wisdom in every aspect of life.
As the sun began to set and the kites were gently lowered from the sky, there was a sense of fulfillment among all. The celebration of Vasant Panchami at SRS Global School was not just about the beginning of the spring season, but a reminder of the endless possibilities that creativity and knowledge bring into our lives. The students, with their colorful kites, had not only celebrated the festival but had also made it a day to remember, filled with joy, learning, and artistic expression.
